Diagnostics
When a warning light appears or your car starts behaving differently, proper diagnostics is the fastest way to find out what’s actually wrong, rather than guessing and potentially paying for parts that were never the issue.
We connect diagnostic equipment to your car’s onboard systems to read fault codes stored by the various control units. This gives us a starting point for investigation, though codes alone don’t always tell the full story.
The same warning light can sometimes be triggered by several different underlying causes. A fault code narrows things down, but it often needs to be combined with a physical inspection to confirm exactly what’s wrong.
Common reasons for a diagnostic check:
Once we’ve identified the cause, we’ll explain what we’ve found in plain terms, along with the cost of any repair, and if it turns out to be something minor, we’ll tell you that too, rather than recommending work that isn’t needed.
Electric and hybrid vehicles have their own diagnostic requirements, covering both the electric drive system and any combustion components on a hybrid. Our technicians are trained to diagnose faults across both conventional and electrified vehicles.
If a warning light has you concerned, bring your car to FitnFix Auto, and we’ll find out exactly what’s going on before recommending anything.
FitnFix Auto is proud to be accredited by the IGA and Trust My Garage, and recognised by HEVRA, SERMI, and Trading Standards, giving you independent assurance that we work to genuine industry standards.
